The most recent "Local History Happenings" newsletter from Wake County Historical Society has several events that you may be interested in.  They will host a Coffee History lecture and tasting on August 7 at 10 AM in Apex. Call WCHS for details if the link does not work for you. (It didn't work for me.) Their October program features "Isaac Hunter and His Tavern," presented by Belle Long, a Hunter family researcher for over 20 years. I am especially interested in this one as the remains of the tavern still stood not far from our home in the late 1960's.
